I got a ABC Broadband broadband connection (1 mbps) in New Delhi some time back. while the speed was very good in the first two months, there was a drop in speed from the third month.


Surfing speed was terrible. when I called up the installation guy, all he did was to promise to come asap. after a wait of some 15 days he turned up, all he did was delete temporary files from my laptop and assure that it will solve the problem. when the issue recurred, I called up customer care. they asked me to contact the local person.


Fed up with the browsing speed, I decided to apply for a disconnection. and the whole process, took 3 months. while the modem and the roof top signal box was collected within a week of my request (and I scanned and mailed them a copy immediately), I kept receiving bills for next 3 months. When I wrote to the company, they did everything else than to solve my issue. The customer reps were clueless and made me wait endlessly.


I also kept getting calls from ABC Broadband asking me to pay bills for a connection that they had cut off 2 months ago. they warned me of legal action if I failed to pay the bill in time. I mailed them the disconnection documents again, but no avail.


All my security amount was gobbled up (I still have no clue where it was "adjusted", as the customer reps told me). also after 3 months of endless phone calls and numerous emails, I was told that my account was successfully disconnected and the big reward was that I had to pay them a settlement amount of some 600 bucks to shut down the issue.


I had a great deal of harassment at the hands of the company and wasted a lot of my time and energy for no fault of mine. **I STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT TO GO FOR ABC Broadband FOR THEIR POOR SPEED, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEIR AMBIGUOUS PAYMENT STRUCTURE.*
