Good decent service but apathetic customer care

I have been a ABC Broadband Broadband customer from Surat for over 2 years now. I chose to write this review because I felt kinda bad reading so many negative reviews.


Over the course of last 2 years, the Internet connection at ABC Broadband has been generally consistent. In between these 2 years, I had hardware related issue once.


Specifically where I had to have my cable replaced. It took them 1 day, the service engineer took a prior appointment with me and was prompt.


I had network connection issues, almost 5-6 times during the course of the mentioned period.In most cases, it was resolved in approx 2 days time. Of course there is a scope to improve that, but I am okay with it.


I started off with an Unlimited, 2Mbps plan, and on most days, I got those speeds.


The only disappointing thing for me about was this incident a couple of months back where my billing was over due for 2 months.


I was out of India, abroad - and when I returned I found my connection unavailable. When I called up the Helpline number, I asked them the reason and was cited that my bill was pending. Technically, they weren't wrong but honestly I felt bad.


Being an established customer who has been regular with his payments throughout the terms - it did make me feel bad. It develops a bad notion in the mind of the customer.


ABC Broadband, be considerate. A customer who has been paying Rs 2000/- odd regularly can obviously accommodate the outstanding bill.


My final word, develop your customer service. That's where you can ace other Internet Service Providers. As I read through the other reviews, the crux of most grievances seem about your Customer Care Services.


Develop a more holistic approach towards your customers, be unique in that respect than the other players.


The customer care executives fare well- both in their demeanor and competence. But its perhaps the Company service policy that needs to fine tuned.
