The mayflower trees, the empty roads,

the premier and ambassador cars, the clothes, the Rs2/- note, the chilly

feel.I was keenly watching to find some fault with the representation of

Bangalore in the 1980s and somewhere along the line forgot all about it, thanks

to the nostalgia I was sucked into - of Bangalore during my childhood days. The

Bangalore some of us sorely miss.it really was "aa dinagalu".those

days.sigh!

Glad to have caught this movie despite

its low key publicity.not that my husband would have spared me.his first

ever play in college was directed by Chaitanya the director of this

movie!

The interweaving of a romance alongside

the true Goondagiri story of the 1980s Bangalore is excellent. The characters

remain in your mind.Sharat Lohitashwa, Atul Kulkarni, Ashish Vidyarthi have

done a fab job. Sharat Lohitashwa reminds you of the intensity yesteryear actor

Lokesh used to have. The young couple is good and adds a freshness. Ilayaraja

reminds you as to why he is still the king of heart stirring melodies. The

script is tight and fantastic. The execution is superbly handled by the director

who has shown extreme sensitivity while not giving in to unecessary dramatism or

glorification. Kannada cinema seems interesting with this one!
