Thanks to mouthshut.com, I came to this site in April 2011 to see the review on Induction stoves. As I was planning to move my family to Chennai. So, I was in need to buy a Stove for cooking purpose. I was decided to buy butterfly. I went to all major stores in Chennai. But most of it was not impressive and not cost effective. After 2 days, I have compared butterfly and pigeon. Butterfly menu's was very small and not user friendly. same was appllied to preethi. Then I have seen pigeon which is very very easy to use, with touch screen and 5 Amps plug, (others will come with 15 A big plug, where I have do the new electrical wiring) good offer with cooker, thava, pan. I went ahead and bought that.
From past 15 months, It is working hard for my family. I like to bath in hot water. Hot water will be ready in 9 minutes. Iddli will be ready in 7 minutes. rice will be ready in 15 minutes etc. No injury, no burns, only 5 touch screen buttons.
At the end, till the power bill was not increased in Tamil Nadu, It was the cost effective and best solution for my family. Right now we have monitored the usage, Dosa and fry is taking more power. Boiling in proper flat steel vessel is very very cheaper and faster.
Till now, we do not have LPG Connection at our home. We have recently applied for it. Decided to give some rest to Pigeon Induction stove.
