I have been to Malgudi restaurant on two occasions..at two different locations.. one near HSR Layout and the other one at Electronics City. Unfortunately both the times the food was awful, the service was below par.
First time I visited the place with my in laws, I ordered for 2 fish items. Being an oriya guy, I am very particular about the fish items. But unfortunately Both the fish items that we were served were badly cooked, bland and without any taste. I thought prob. the preparation style is different and that's why I didn't like it. But the other items are also very mediocre...I decided to give it another try and went for a farewell party to the one near E-City.
First of all we had to wait for more than 20 mins before someone came to attend us. Just because one of my teammates took a fraction of second more to decide on the menu, the guy went away to attend other tables and didn't come back for another 10 minutes.
Anyways this time we ordered a chicken platter. That was the worst chicken platter in my life. Again the other items were just average. That made me decide not to go to any malgudi restaurants ever again...
Price wise I think for the kind of food it serves, and for the kind of service, it is charging much more than it should...
