• MVJ Institutions conduct illegal business and scams, as already seen in the case of MVJ Medical College scandal
• Black money collected during admission off the record. Parents, students and CET cheated by entry of false information on the CET portal and in the MVJ admission system
• Purpose cited is vague and is not justified during 4 year course
• Illegal increase in fee for management students without prior warning or suitable reason and extortion of parents and blackmail of students
• Illegal money used to satisfy VTU criteria for affiliation, but parents and students are defrauded and blackmailed with cancellation of seat
• Money is also used for appeasement of NAAC and NBA for accreditation, and for installation of CCTV cameras. Funds for this should be provided by the college
• MVJ Medical College has been caught conducting a huge scam to the tune of 25 crore rupees. Stealing of stipends and criminal intimidation are crimes the college is accused of.

3) Maltreatment and torture of students
• Abusive and rowdy behavior of faculty towards students
• Communication in raised and rude voice by faculty
• Condescending and narcissistic behavior by faculty and management
• Students are expected to be the slaves of the college and faculty
• Breach of Constitutional Rights and civil liberties such as right to freedom and expression

4) Attendance Scandal
• In 2017, 69 students from the Aeronautical Engineering branch were unfairly and illegally debarred from the exams by the college for alleged lack of attendance.
• It was a result of personal grudges nursed by the faculty. Students were not compensated for extracurricular activities, events and projects.
• Full scale protest was staged in the college premises against the management with the support of the media and the police. Hunger strike went on for 3 days.
• Management protected itself with false claims and accused the students and blamed the negligence of the department.
• Master Register was refused to be shown to the students, and later hidden and destroyed by faculty breaking into the college in the middle of the night.
• Lack of support and understanding from VTU.
• Suicide of a student over depression because of being denied hall ticket.
• Recommendation of 12 50 minute make-up classes by VTU.
• Some students still got detained, and their careers destroyed.

5) Horrible Hostel
• Prison conditions in hostel
• Poor quality food, unhealthy, much below par and disgusting taste
• Harsh and unfair rules and regulations
• Strict curfew
• Invasion of personal space and private life of students by hostel officials

• Denial of civil liberties in girls’ hostel:-Girls are not allowed to leave the hostel or college premises at any cost

• Amazingly strict procedure for check in and check out of college premises
• Student can be expelled from hostel without notice, he or she will be thrown out on the road with clothes or baggage even if he or she does not have a local guardian or a place to stay

6) Poor Infrastructure
• Very small campus of 15 acres compared to other colleges.
• The campus houses 3 institutions. MVJ College of Engineering, MVJ Polytechnic and MVJ PUC
• The class and labs are small and under equipped when compared to other institutions
• The canteen is way too small to house the entire college, polytechnic and PU during lunchtime
• The auditorium cannot contain even a single year worth of students
7) No Sports
• MVJ has no recognition in any sport
• The only event that is conducted here is the cricket tournament, which the college always wins.
8) Rural and Unsuitable Location
• College is located in the rural area of Channsandra, not Whitefield.
• People are fooled by misrepresentation of the location as ITPL, near Whitefield
• Area not fully developed for comfortable living yet, neighboring amenities not sufficient.
9) Poor Maintenance
• Cleaning of toilet and college grounds takes placing during peak working hours, when the college is crowded with people.
• Staff workers force students away from toilets and tell them to move from the lawn and stone seats in the front of the college causing discomfort to students.
• Plants and the lawn are watered and the grounds cleared of dust while people are still waking through the area.
• This is in fact a cruel conspiracy between the management and the maintenance department to make it difficult for students to stay in college grounds during class hours.
• Water supply stops many times in a day
• Lab equipment many years old, unsatisfactory and outdated
• Non-functioning and unavailability of equipment hinders learning in lab sessions and completion of syllabus
10) Outdated and Inferior Library
• Books as per the newly prescribed syllabus and revised editions arrive only in the middle of the semester. Till then students are expected to waste their money and obtain photocopies of notes and textbooks from the shop in front of the institution. This shop is the real library of MVJ
• Most books are 20 to 30 years old and contain obsolete information
• Insufficient stock of required and new books
• Most space occupied by old and outdated books

• Illegal profiting from fines, college gains a lot of money unfairly through late return fines
• Fine is astonishingly high, 5% of book cost per day late
• Students are threatened with expulsion from college and debar from exams if this illicit fine is not paid

11) Bribery
• MVJ bribes VTU, NBA, NAAC, AICTE, NIRF and other organizations which handle and supervise engineering colleges
• The college maintains whatever status it has by bribing all the locals to spread good words about the college and post good reviews online
• Students are forced to provide positive feedback about the college
• The reason the college has continued to maintain its ratings and recognitions at its average level is because of bribery
• The money extorted and embezzled from parents are used for increasing the college’s monetary gain. Management students are the primary source for this money

12) Hellish College Life
• Atmosphere is hostile and unfriendly for the students
• The authorities turn a blind eye to student’s problems. The college says that it has a feedback system and is ready to help students and solve their problems in the induction ceremony just to convince students to remain in the college
• Student is attacked for every action in this college by the college staff, faculty and management
• There is widespread discrimination in the student community on the basis of caste, creed, sex, religion, language, culture etc.
• There is no unity between the students and no politeness and mutual understanding between the students and faculty
• It is a dog eat dog world. Management inflicts torture on faculty and faculty in turn inflict on the students
• The people in the college are generally depressed, selfish and unhelpful due to their daily sufferings
• Relationships between the opposite sex is considered as the greatest crime in this college
• Free time of the students is violated and restricted by the college and its useless measures which it forces upon the students

13) Placements
• All records, facts and figures of exceptional placements are false. All claims of the management are also false.
• The placement wing is invisible to anyone not in 4th year
• The management will never produce concrete and believable evidence that will act as testament to their overvalued claims. Statistics are either hidden from the eyes of the students and the outside world or are forged
• The number of companies have exponentially decreased after 2015. It has dropped from 50+ companies to just 13 in 2018
• Representatives from the companies have themselves attended the induction ceremonies and have declared that they cannot recruit from MVJ College of Engineering
• Placement details are fudged everywhere in the notice boards, multiple photocopies of the same list are stuck around together to put up a false appearance of great placement. This is done to fool the students
• Training and development sessions are supposedly conducted to make students “placement-ready”, but the truth is that these only impart false hope, as the problem lies in the college rather in the students
• Seniors complain everyday about bleak placement opportunities
• The maximum salary for freshers of MVJ is capped at 3 lakh
• Majority of the students are not placed or are placed in mass recruiters or terrible companies, but they are written off and are officially placed or engaged in “higher studies” on paper
• Students who are deemed incapable are debarred from placements by the faculty
• Campus placement opportunity is almost non existent

14) Internships
• Students are completely cheated and tricked into going to cement factories, construction sites, textile industries and other places completely unassociated and unrelated to engineering for internships
• Students are forced to perform menial work and run errands like cleaning the floor and delivering coffee to their superiors as internship projects
• The salary of students is siphoned off by MVJ
• Officially these students have completed internships in “software companies”
• Thousands of complaints have been booked against MVJCE for these criminal activities, but something has yet to be done
• Attendance is never provided for internships, students are expected to complete 3 internships during the semester break, which is practically impossible
• Students are forced to miss years for their internship
• This is one of the methods used by MVJ to earn money

15) Unethical, Immoral and Merciless Institution
• Faculty and students alike are chased away from the gate like street mongrels if they do not have ID card. Yet if a fellow colleague of a faculty recognizes them, they are permitted through. But there is no such consideration for students
• Students are forced out of lab sessions for minor infractions or incomplete record work. They are also forced out of classes if they dissatisfy the teacher or is not to his or her liking. Biometric device is withheld and students are forced to shift places and stand up from their seat for ludicrous reasons
• Students are denied attendance for coming a few minutes late for the class, even if they attend the rest of the class
• Faculties have a priority line and seating in the canteen
• Students are summoned on during breaks and on holidays for completing important forms and procedures regarding exams or college and are expected to arrive at a moment’s notice
• 10th, 12th Standard marks cards, Transfer migration pass certificates and all other admission documents are unlawfully retained by the college after admission. Even after VTU decree and intimation, MVJ refuses to return documents that rightfully belong to the student. This is done to prevent the student from leaving the college during the duration of the course
• Basketball Court is used as a parking lot
• Medical facility does not exist
• Students are chased out of bathrooms for cleaning
• Lab supervisors can tear apart and destroy student lab records is they are unsatisfied with the work
• College bus waits for late faculty but not students
• Students are suspended for not adhering to college demands during their free time
• New rules are forced upon students everyday
• Faculties are expected to stay back for overtime and extra college work without increased pay or compensation for additional work. Protest results in firing
• Usage of smartphones, power banks and hotspots by faculty inside the class and lab during class hours when students are not permitted to do the same
• Human Resource department unhelpful for student and teacher alike
• Attendance is not compensated for any reason whatsoever, even if the student attends the class and forgets to punch
• Faculties are expected to complete small tasks even during the lunch break and after working hours
• Extremely hectic working hours from 8 A.M. to 4 P.M. This is more than any college in Bangalore. Free time of students and teachers have been cut off by the management
