We`ve seen serials in which everyone is crying due to some problems.Either there is a problem in relationship or the devrani is creating problems!But here there is no such problem.Here,in Kyun Hota Hai Pyarrr... we have college students,chilling out and enjoying their age!!!This is the best thing about this serial,that college-going people can easily get along with it.It is aired on Star Plus on Thursday at 8:00 p.m.
THE SERIAL:
Taurus Video`s Kyun Hota Hai Pyarrr produced by Neena Gupta is different than the usual saas-bahu dramas in which there are chaalein and all that stuff.This one is very entertaining which has characters,we usually see in college.It has no Ghar Ghar Ki Kahaani involved with it!It is a feel-good serial!They show sports meet and all other competitions and events of college,which usually happen.When we add all these things,it makes the serial look like,really a story of college-going students!
THE CHARACTERS AND PERFORMANCES:
1.Aditya Bhargav(Amit Sadh):Aditya is known as Adi in his college.He was the boyfirend of the rich and glamorous girl Aishwariya Kapoor but because of her wrong attitude,he is no more in love with her.He is in love with Nikketa Sharma,who is from a middle-class family and is very simple!Aditya loves his Greenfield College and for it he won the sports meet trophy,defeating St.Joseph`s College.He was a very insensitive perso,who after falling in love with Nikki,became a sensitive and kind-hearted person!Amit Sadh as Adi is excellent but his character gets too filmi.In reality,college students don`t use such dialogues which he uses.I mean to say that college students don`t use such emotional dialogues.It`s not his fault,that his character gets too sissy at time,because he didn`t developed Adi`s character!
2.Nikketa Sharma(Riva Bubber):Nikketa Sharma is known as Nikki.She belongs to a middle class family,who isn`t so modern!She is simple and an innocent girl.Also,she was unconfident but when she won the title of Miss Greenfield,she became more open minded and confident because when you achieve something,you get confident!She loves Adi and has full faith in her love.Riva Bubber as Nikki is good,but her character looks unrealistic,because after every second,she starts crying and when she shouts,she scares the hell out of us.Her voice is irritating,but overall she is good.She looks beautiful at places,but at some places she looks a bit fat!Still,I like her!
3.Aishwariya Kapoor(Sonal Pendse):Aishwariya Kapoor,is a rich,arrogant girl who breaks everything in her house,when she doesn`t get what she wants.She solves every problem,by calling her dad,through her mobile phone!She is known as Ash,in college!She is Adi`s ex-girlfreind,who now wants him back.She is acting as Adi`s friend,but is trying to attract him again.She hates Nikki,and she tries every possible formula to make Adi fight with Nikki,but unluckily,she fails,in the end!Her favourite word is L.S,which means Low standard or something like that!Sonal Pendse as Ash is fine,but goes overboard at times.However,she acts to look sexy and passes,at times.
4.Cuckoo(Vikas Sethi):Cuckoo,is Adi`s greatest rival in college.He is arrogant and believes that nothing is impossible for him.He tries to impress a girl in the college,called Ramya and believes that he has got 4 eyes,and so no one can mess up with him.Vikas Sethi looks good and better than Amit Sadh a.k.a Adi.He acts very well,especially in the scene where he was giving competition to the students of St.Joseph`s college,while the sports meet!He is the actor of the forthcoming film Oops! which is about male-strippers.I don`t know about Oops but in Kyun Hota Hai Pyarrr,he acts well and his character is also believable!
5.Malini(Shalini Pal):Malini is a tom boyish girl,who is very bindaas!She isn`t a sweet girl,but is very strong and can play volleyball very well.She made her college win in the Sports meet,when she had her artificial beard ON!!!Shalini Pal as Malini is good and acts ably.She impresses the viewer at places!
6.Ramya:Ramya is a very superstitious girl,who is in love with Cuckoo these days.She is talkitive and also very irritating at times,but cute.The actress who plays the role of Ramya looks sweet and does justice to her role!The role of Ramya was first played by Shruti Seth,the Jiya of the television serial Shararat!
7.Abhi:Abhi,is a friend of Adi,who is now his enemy because he loves Nikki.This actor is very annoying,who plays Abhi`s role and whwnever,he appears on screen,I feel like changing the channel!His dilaogue delivery is also poor!
THE STORY:
The story nowadays,is that Greenfield college won in the sports meet,which proved useful for the college.The students of St.Joseph`s college are jealous and wouldn`t leave Adi,the captain of the team.Adi,with his friends is forming a musical band but the students of other college are going to harm Adi!What will happen,next???Well,see this serial!
WHY DO WE FALL IN LOVE?:
This is the question I`ve asked!The answer is simple.Because love is better than hatred and everyone needs love in life!
THE WORK OF THE CREW:
The Direction is good,because as an indian telivision serial,such a subject is handled well,which manages to entertain us!Screenplay is poor because it is not gripping!Things seem to be here-and-there and many questions remain unanswered,like why Abhi didn`t want Greenfield college to defeat in the sports meet?Editing is loose,at times because,nothing happens and unnecesarily the serial is dragged!The look of the serial is fresh and lively.The sets are lovely,which make the college look like a real one!Title song by Shaan is beautiful.I just love it and even sing it at times!I wish I could have get it on an audio tape but it`s too short!
ON THE WHOLE:
''Kyun Hota Hai Pyarrr'' is far much better than rona-dhona Ekta Kapoor stuff.It has many flaws,still is very entertaining,because of its different and lively theme.These things make me recommend this serial to all of you!
