Medicine is a noble profession and A doctor is treated high next to God. But all this shattered into pieces the day my father entered Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta. Medical negligence resulted in loss of a Family’s HOPE. Here is the complete story
My father suffered from Jaundice and he was put on a strict diet. He complained about lower abdominal pain and the jaundice never came down. A Family friend and a doctor suggested us to Fortis hospital with a fake hope of curing him. We blindly believed in them. All the tests were done and he was put on treatment. There was no sign of development. He barely had food\water. Sustained only on IV. He came back home and visited the hospital again. One day they said that his kidney failed and detected a tumor in his liver. When we hospitalized him for fourth time, they did endoscopy. Their negligence resulted in busting the tumor, the physicians accepted their mistake. Dialysis was done and his pulse rate came down, immediately they put him on ventilator. Doctors could not even utter anything about the tumor. Only after families intervention they named the tumor as bail duct cancer which was in final stage incurable. They gave rigorous treatment on him. My father stopped responding, and our hopes started declining. Every doctor who passed by told Hope and left. On May 12th, 2017 My dad left us behind with no signs. Surgical mistake has resulted in my father’s death. None of the staff was around when he last breathed. There was a high drama on finishing the formalities. Well played doctors. Their business is done. Hospital= A business center, and Doctors= Money Agents.
Dear Friends, Never visit or recommend this hospital to anyone. The pain of losing loved ones is the worst feeling ever. Nothing can adequately compensate the loss of my Dad.
