Bad lot L2135 anyone else?

Taste:

Smoothness:

I've enjoyed 100 piper for a couple of years now since it was recommended as inexpensive, smooth yet flavorful blended scotch. I recently started experienceing pain (in what I believe is my liver) after awakening in the morning after an evening of partaking of my favorite libation. I suspected that it might be the drink.

I switched to another brand to test my hypothesis and concluded that it was indeed the drink causing it. Not wanting to give up on an old friend. I suspected it might be a bad lot. I identified the lot number on the bottle as L2135. It's not obvious but is stamped on the bottle in purple ink. I went to the liquor store hoping to find a bottle with different lot number. However, all of the one liter bottles were of the same lot. I checked the 1.75 liter bottles and found their lot numbers are completely different. After further testing I was relieved to find out that my old friend had not forsaken me. Has anyone else had similar experiences?
