I am Raja Basu, currently working as a Protocol Officer with the Office of the Resident Commissioner, Govt. of West Bengal, New Delhi. Though now settled in New Delhi, my hometown is Calcutta or Kolkata in eastern India. I stayed there till 2001, when I shifted to New Delhi. Apart from holding a B.A. in Political Science, I also have a PG Diploma in Public Relations, and have also earned an elementary certificate in French from Alliance Francaise, Kolkata. I speak English, French, Hindi (Indiaâ??s national language) and Bengali (my mother language). Though officially a Hindu, I have equal respect for all religions of the world. I even respect the feelings of the Atheists. I am a non-smoker and teetotaler, but certainly do not have any disliking for those who have the habit of smoking and drinking. .
