Reviewed Padmaavat

Padmavat finally released last week. It has been a long wait. The proletariat is lapping it up. The 110 Crore weekend haul is an indication of the same. This is excluding its overseas collections, where also, it is raking in the moolah. Team Bhanshali trounces all opposition and romps home with ...Read more

A brilliant review. I wanted to write a review....after a long time in mouthshut....but you have written whatever I felt about the movie. I enjoyed the movie and its conscious attempt not to make the characters to do anything heroic. Anay Goswami is a reevaluation...the way he did the garba scene is... amazing. A big plus to Abhishek Kapoor. A thumbs up for the movie and another one for the review Read More

The movie did not work for me. The Roshans should accept the viewers verdict instead of dissecting, moaning and groaning.

I saw the movie yesterday and totally agree with your analysis. Unlike the media Ranbir actually disappointed me in this movie. Ajay Devgan and Manoj Bajpai were wasted. Nana did stand out in parts. Apaharan was far far better than Rajneeti.

MNIK is good cinema......whether it makes money or not.....the story and the message is the real helps also if u have kajol and shahrukh to flesh out the characters......good job Karan......agree 100% with your review.

am seeing it tomorow because my wife. Was not that enthusiastic about it as did not liked the earlier attempts of Ashwini Dhir ( Krazzy 4 and One Two Three). Your review gives me some hope. Thanks for that.

Swapna.....thanks for reviewing my review in your seem to have liked the movie a great deal :-). As for me I do not mind the age difference between Ranbir and Konkona...just want to watch a prettier face than Konkona in a KJo production....talent be dammed. Girl / boy roommates... without live in relationships to me seem uncommon....but maybe i need to wake up before Sid. Friendship between a boy and girl is a myth as per my experience. Read More

Oct 03, 2009 03:21 PM going to be 40 year old this december... seen too many might sound a bit cynical....but without taking the credit and hard work of the WUS team....let us also accept it is a good movie but people will only remember ranbir in it after a certain time. Just cannot go ...gaga over a movie nowadays unless it really hits you in the jaw or creates a heartacheRead More

nice review.....ranbir really fits the role like a glove....konkona as you mention is becoming repetative....should blame the writer though....the character was too one dimensional

The good news is that Ranbir Kapoor is not a pretender burdened by lineage but a full blown performer with stars stamped all over him. The bad news is that the movie per se will not create a stir or awaken the audience. The screenplay was written as a slice of life movie with an urbane sensib...Read more
