Prabhas is one of those Indian film actors who is associated with Telugu Cinema. He is also called as "Prabhas Raju" and also appeared in a Bollywooditem song, in Prabhudeva's 2014 film Action Jackson. He started his movie career with Eeswar in 2002 and it was in 2003, that he was the lead in Raghavendra. He also won the Nandi Award for Best Actor, for his role in Mirchi and went on to release movies that included Varsham (2004), Chatrapathi (2005), Chakram (2005), Billa (2009), Darling (2010), Mr. Perfect (2011), and Mirchi (2013). In the year 2015, he played the title role in S. S. Rajamouli's epic film Baahubali: The Beginning which became the first Indian film ever to gross over ?1,000 crore in just 10 days. It is also the second highest-grossing Indian film to date.

Some of his upcoming movies include Saho that is anticipated to release on 30 Aug 2019. From his earlier days in cinema, after he continued with his acting career with Adavi Raamudu and Chakram, he acted in the film Chatrapathi directed by S. S. Rajamouli in 2005 and Later he acted in Pournami, Yogi and Munna that came out in 2007. This was followed by the action-comedy Bujjigadu in 2008. It was in 2009 his two films were Billa and Ek Niranjan. He also rendered voice for a short cameo for the film Denikaina Ready which is well renowned and a must watch so as not to miss out the dancing talent of Tamannaah Bhatia and action skills of Prabhas. He has been awarded several awards like Filmfare Award for Best Actor - Telugu several times along with CineMaa award for Best actor (Jury).
