Mahesh Babu is known as Prince; he is one of the reigning young stars of Telugu cinema.  He is an actor and producer as well. He is a philanthropist and donates 30% of his income to charity and to ambassadors. He is born on 9th August 1975. He was voted the 5th most desirable man for the year 2011 by the Times of India. He is married to Namrata Shirodkar. He is the highest paid actor in South Indian after Rajinikanth. 

He started as a child actor at the age of 4 and played a small role in the film, Needa, which was his brother’s debut film.  He made his debut as a lead actor in the movie, Rajakumarudu.  Then he worked in Yuvaraju and Vamsi. He got a Nandi special jury award for his acting in the film, Murari. He also worked in Okkadu and Nijam. He also won the Nandi special jury award for his emotional performance in Arjun. His 2011 film, Dookudu, was inspired by German tragicomedy, Goodbye Lenin and it received positive reviews upon release and became of of the highest grossing films of the year. His films Takkari Donga and Bobby did not perform well at the box-office but Mahesh received his second Nandi special Jury award for his performance in the former. His film Athadu became one of the highest grossing films in the year that it was produced. His film, Pokiri, became the highest grossing Telugu film in 75 years. He played the role of a mafia kingpin with a hidden personal agenda in Businessman. 

He is an ambassador for about a dozen South Indian brands and he signed a five-year endorsement deal with Thumbs Up. He also owns a production house. He is the only actor in Telugu cinema who has won 5 filmfare best actor awards in the 17 years of his career.
