I feel that Airtel DTH is a total waste of money because it’s more expensive compared to its competitors like Tata Play.
I have been using an Airtel SIM for many years and it has always worked well, which is why I decided to buy Airtel DTH too. However, the service has been very disappointing. After one year, all my channels stopped working completely. When I raised a complaint, the support team said the issue was with the sprinkler part, even though three other flat connections in my society are using the same part without any problem.
They insisted that I alone have to pay for replacing that part, which is completely illogical. The company installed and maintains all the common society connections—if something inside my home is damaged, I agree that’s my responsibility, but why should I pay for an external part that’s installed by the company for the whole society?
When I decided to disconnect the service, they told me I’d receive my refund within 3–5 days. My DTH service was disconnected immediately, but it’s been 12 days and I still haven’t received my refund. They keep saying an executive will come to collect the DTH box, but no one has shown up yet.
It’s completely ridiculous — poor service, no proper refund process, and unhelpful customer care. It has been a huge waste of time and money
