Asus' gaming phones are a great success. We even named the ROG Phone 6 "probably the best gaming smartphone" in our review. So it makes sense for the manufacturer not to rest on their laurels but to continue expanding the series.
This is exactly what the Taiwanese company has done with the ROG Phone 6D and the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate, which we will be reviewing together as they only have a few fairly minor differences.
Asus has positioned the 6D as a slightly more affordable alternative to the ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro, in exchange for a smaller working memory and a new SoC. The camera and screen remain unchanged. The ROG Phone 6D Ultimate, on the other hand, is the most expensive phone of the series at the time of writing, and comes equipped with a fair share of accessories.
