Sreesanth:- Hey, Vivek, I have heard that the present CEO of Mahindra Satyam, Mr. C P Gurnani has sent a mail to all the employees by saying that he is feeling proud to complete his 50 days as a CEO in that company. After receiving that mail, many junior employees have criticized him publicly by saying that as a CEO of a company, providing pink slips, Virtual Pool Programs and Corporate Reserves pool are not a credible job. It is a shameful thing to do. All 10,000 associates have been kept in virtual pool. That means they have been given the Pink-Slip in an unofficial manner with a notice period of 4 months. Now, for that if a CEO is taking credit; then it is really a shameful thing to do.
Vivek: - Yes, you have got the right information, Sreesanth. Already, 3000 people have put down their papers. All critical and good resources are going out of Satyam.
Arindam: - of course, all good resources will quit this company. See, this Tech Mahindra acquired this Satyam Computer for only one reason. That is to tap all the IT clients. But clients are also not fools. They are monitoring very minutely, what is happening inside this Mahindra Satyam.
Manish: - The name is Mahindra Satyam. But, in reality it is Mahindra Management vs. Satyam Employees. There is a cold war between the two. Mahindra management wants to shed the Satyam employees as much as possible and they have already done that. By giving virtual pink-slips to 10,000 associates with a notice period of 4 months and providing them only the basic salary per month, the Mahindra management have already saved the expense of 23 million USD, but side-by-side, they have also lost the contract of worth 50 million USD, due to British Petroleum terminating their contract. I think that GE, CISCO and SBI Life have no other choice rather than staying with Satyam because they have sanctioned all the Purchase Orders (PO) of projects, which will end at 2010. Otherwise, they would have also terminated the contracts.
Vivek: - The most surprising thing that we are seeing here that this C P Gurnani has ordered the HR Managers to recruit people from outside for the projects rather than taking the talented people from the bench of Satyam. There are lots of people who were undergoing training on several updated technologies like Ajax, Web sphere, Vision Plus, Spring, Hibernate, SAP, ABAP and others at onsite locations also. Those associates were called back and they were thrown into the bench. Now, these people are getting jobs in TCS, Infosys, and Capgemini as they have good skill sets. So, who is loosing? It is Mahindra Satyam management only. Still today, the SAP brings around 63% of the overall profit in Satyam. But, you will be stunned to know that employees having SAP certification as well as 5-6 years of experience in SAP modules in Satyam has been thrown into the Virtual Pool.
Arindam:- Arrey, the Mahindra management is not sparing the people of Satyam, who have worked in the role of Associate –In-Charge (AIC) for around 10 years. At least, they earned more respect and dignity, when Ramalinga Raju was the CEO. Now, as they are dissatisfied with this new management, they are walking out of Mahindra Satyam and playing the role of Pied Piper. All the technical critical resources are also walking out with their faithful leaders. Net result, the competitors like TCS, Wipro and Infosys are getting high-class talented resources at low cost. After the scam of Raju, this Satyam became a Titanic ship. The congress party of YSR sent some life boats with Tarun Das and his teammates sitting on it. Another Ship Tech Mahindra was also in that same ocean. They took the charge of this Titanic. Now, there is no life boat to rescue anyone. Only Helicopter of Mahindra Group is available. One portion of the Titanic is already under the water. Those people can only survive if Titanic can be transformed into a Kurusura Submarine.
