Sharing my ordeal with Goibibo.
I booked 4 hotel rooms for 8 adults and 7 kids, including extra beds. The stay was planned for December 25, and the bookingmade a month in advancewas confirmed.
Upon reaching the hotel, we discovered no extra beds were available. When I inquired with the staff, they said they had already asked Goibibo to cancel the booking on the first day.
They called the Goibibo manager and informed him the guest was asking for extra beds. He handed the phone to me, and when I asked, "Where is the extra bed?", he told me to call customer supportmeaning he knew about the issue but did nothing.
I called customer support; they spoke with the hotel, then the agent dropped the call, saying, "I'll check with my manager and call you back in 10 minutes."
That "caring" support staff finally called me the next night, asking, "Have you managed your stay?" Such inhuman behavior, especially after I clearly mentioned we had 7 kids with us.
They are spineless peoplethe manager is so incompetent that even when the hotel asked to cancel, he didn't act on it. They offered no solution, just said, "Go fight with the hotel or manager or whatever you want."
I had a similar situation with MakeMyTrip once, but they immediately upgraded my hotel and reimbursed my taxi bill for traveling from the old hotel to the new one.
