THIS IS A STORY WHICH DEPICTS HOW POLITICIANS WORK FOR THEIR GOOD.THIS STORY DEALS WITH THREE MLAs WHO WONE ELECTIONS ONE AFTER ANOTHER
The State Vidhan Sabha elections were fought in aState. Shri SUCHA SINGH (not real name) was elected. After beig sworn as a MINISTER I the State Cabinrt those who supported and canvassed for him asked for some money. He had spent all his hard cash and had to do something to make his positon financially sound. He had heard that policians, specially ministers, have amassed huge wealths withi a short time.He wanted to know how could they do so. Then he met an old minister whom he considered his political mentor.That minister could not dare tell how to ntake money lest at someday he may not black mail him.At last SUCHA SINGH thought of a good scheme.
He started tours of villages in his constituency.In one of the villages he found his voters were very simple ad his staunch followers.He called a meeting of GRAM PACHAYAT and told them that we need to some talented boys as swimmers to compete in ASIAN nnd OLYMPIC GAMES.The villagers felt very happy .News was released to press. And within few months a very costly swimming pool was designed and shown as constructed at a cost of over 1 crore.Sucha Singh became rich and so were his staunch supporters.
After five years another election was held. SUCHA SINGH lost and his opposite party leader was declared successful.He wanted to bring SUCHA SINGH to book and threatened to uncover his sordid actions. Sucha Singh advised Mahan Singh, the new Minister to make moey by reapiring the swimming pool that Sucha Singh made and to make his ow swimming pool in another area.Mahan Singh liked the idea and eared crores.
After 5 years Mahan Singh lost and Sucha Singh agai won te electio. This time he threatened Mahan Singh because he too had not contructed any swimming pool and eaten up all the money..Mahan Singh advised him to repair the existing pools and construct oe more.But Sucha Singh had another idea. He said that the attendence on the pools was very poor and the traiees could not win any medles so it is better to close dow all the swimming pools. He got all the pools filled up
In fact there were no swimming pools. These existed only on papers. Sucha Singh by showing that the pools were filled up also buried any querries that may be raised about the construction of those pools.He and Mahan Singh eared crores without doing aything except o papers.
This is how our country has sufferred.The politicians come and go .Promises are made for bebefit of masses ad the masses are being tured into MESSES .
