I'v never read a review of a Pakistani serial before. Good one , am glad some of their TV serial makers are not like their politicians.

@Khulamunh - Thank you. I share your thinking but at the end when you said this is 'essentially a product and services review site and that should take precedence' - you are indeed right but the quality of most reviews is mediocre, the quality of English terrible (let them introduce review-writing i...n Hindi and any regional language - I welcome it) and one way to improve the quality of reviewing would be by ROD recognition but when very few people see the ROD actually what's the point ? You and I know it but if Faisal Farooqui thinks differently, well then the matter rests there ;)Read More

@MouthShut_Official - Thank you very much for the honour. Please consider moving ROD display higher up on page otherwise no one will read and it's a waste of ROD selections with little viewership. If I was new to MS , I would Never end up seeing the ROD displayed considering it's at the abso...lute bottom of the page.Read More

A Star is Gone (after constantly threatening a snooze-fest). That is the predominant sentiment after watching'A Star Is Born'. Lady Gaga shines the brightest here. Bradley Cooper proves to be a competent story-teller. Next time, he can aim to be a memorable director and a less egotistic on...Read more

Geeta-ji, How are you ? I hope you're doing great ! I'm irregular with MS now but am so happy that you're still publishing here ! 'Stree' slipped my attention but i sure am gonna watch it now. What you desire from a thriller often boils down, thrills aside, to what one wants from cinema itself. Some thrillers knife in and ease out the human element so beautifully that at the end of it all the thrills don't matter so much, one is left wondering at something else. In others though the i...Read more

You gotta hand it to warm, visionary film-makers like Rajkumar Hirani. Tomorrow he'll make a film inspired by Narendra Modi titled 'Nandu' - a heart-turning epic about one of India's most beloved leaders who heroically overcame the conspiracies hatched against him. After that, it'll be'Sallu' - ...Read more

The Shape of Water is one of those films that shift their shape in your memory - smoothly engaging during the run-time, and then dissolving into nebulous depths soon after. I am surprised it won the Best Picture Oscar for 2018 and am rather stunned that it was awarded the Golden Lion at the Veni...Read more

Sounds like a lot of folks are very realistic in ensuring that India sinks at all costs. Cynicism is neatly confused with outright corruption. If somebody shows even a bit of guts, it is conveniently dismissed as idealism. But it is good to have a chat with you after a long time.
