@ samjd - Do update us on your Himalayan experience. Rear door already has the power windows. Front Door got the place, you can retro fit it. On road Price in Bangalore is highest in the country I guess. Me too got quoted for 8.20L but finally lucky enough to buy it for 7.79L

I use a E50 - but may soon upgrade to E51, thanks to ur review. One can't hear the radio in speaker because the phone uses the head phone wire as a radio antenna. It can't have a inbuilt antenna - coz it will interfere with the phone antenna - which is it main function.

Am really sorry to hear bout ur exp. I have a Bolero GLX for past 1 yr and pretty happy with it. I guess it was ur bad luck of test riding a test ride vehicle. Usually they are in bad shape. As for the interiors i agree with u. Nothing great. Interiors are much better in sub 4 lac cars. But aga...in Bolero is not a car. Another point. After Scorpio M&M is giving Bolero step - motherly treatment for sure. But trust me - on the highway Bolero rules . I done onlu 17000km in past year. Scorpio got more power and the body roll is enuf to scare all the passengers. So thaz the use of power if u can't use it. Bolero is also powerful in ghats compared to Safari and other smoking guzzlers. Really sad to hear that u test Bolero refused to move. If you are from Bangalore u can test drive mine. Hope u have a happy 'Kuch log Sumo challate hain' I have nothing against Sumo but 2 points. 1. Looks like a van/taxi 2. Can't trust TATA vehicles. All my friends swear at them. Except Indigo engine all other Tata cars are a headache when they get older.Read More

The Thunderbird is good in many respects, but it suffers from an identity problem – it is classified as a cruiser, but doesn’t look like a modern cruiser, it is a bike from the Enfield stables, but doesn’t look like a Bullet. I don't agree. RE never claimed it to be a 'modern' ...cruiser. No Mag wheels, no thumb-start. The exhaust pipe juts out beyond the rear tyre. The crankcase projects out in an ungainly fashion. If you want a modern cruiser buy a Aquila for Rs. 1.5 lacs and try riding it in Indian roads all they long. The 19' wheels are just fine. We don't have smooth roads for low slung 'modern' cruisers Read More

Maintaining above 100kmph in Invader is no easy task. How is the rolling on curves? Have you fitted anti roll bars? Have you done any serious off roading? Do you keep the hood open or closed (most of the time)? Does it leak on heavy rain? Friend of mine have done Bangalore - Rajasthan on his In...vader. Right now he is touring Uttaranchal so no doubt its a great SUV for long drives too. You can know more about us in http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Bolero_Invader/Read More

Yous can't compare a Bolero with a Pajero or Prado! Your comments sounds more like hearsay. Am sure you don't own one yourself. Do You?

I totally agree with you. I have a 1 week old Bolero. Yesterday after a major showere there were lot of puddles in the road. I suddenly hit one of the big one (thanx to the fool from the opp direction with hi-beam on) mebbe 10 - 12 feet across and 1/2 feet deep. Suddenly it was water all over the ca...r. I didn't expect it at all. I was hardly doing 50kmph. I was completly blinded for a few sec which can result to anythin fatal on the highway.Read More

I actually was loitering around and thot of checking out the DVP320 (the new small entry level DVD player) Then i went on to check the DVD 625 and then finally DVD 727. Gave it a thot for a few min. A DVD player is something which I would like to change every next month. So I thot why not invest on ...a top model and not to worry for a few yrs till some super VCD format comes. I also got the offer for 8999/-. Its only 3 days old. Will write a review later on. Till then I hope mouthshut adds a slot for it in product list.Read More

'Firstly let’s get one thing straight there is no Royal enfield bike with Electric start.' Wrong. There are lotsa Enfield bikes with Electric start. At least the export models. Wait till june 2004, you can buy one yourself 'So for those guys who thought that starting a bullet would be e...asy, think again !!' Why not? It should be easy Read More

for your honest opinion. I was about to buy a pulsar. I always suspected Bajaj's quality. Now they are playing the number game. More & more bikes - less & less quality. I will now go for a bull. Heard that Royal Enfield is launching a AVL 500

Hi Giki Either you are too funny or its a sad case of grapes are sour. Either u read too many automags or u r a Enticer owner/lover/devotee. I agree t-bird is not perfect but its the closest u can come to a real cruiser. Enticer is a moped that looks like a cruiser. Eliminator and Aquila are ...not pure bred Indian. Nore do I see many in the highways The silencer is not 10 feet long. The 19 inch wheels are suited for Indian roads. Handle bars can be adjusted/changed so can the tyres. Let me not get into the finer technical details and waste your time. But I hope you know the meaning of the word 'cruiser' and I hope you 'cruise' not inside the city/town with gelled hair but the roads across our great country with a helmet. Only then you you understand and appreciate a t-bird. Even I can sit in the comfots of my couch, watch some TV show, read some mags and comment that Enticer is a moped in 'cruiser' guise.
