.. and that shows up big time in Raam. I would say its an average effort. YSR's music is the only salvation. The movie didn't work out for various reasons. In a scene, (a drunken?) Vaazhavanthan seems to speak for the audience: 'Modhalla avan thaan konnaan'nny sonnaanga.. appuram ivan konnaan'nu s...onaanga.. ippa avan ivana kolla poraan'nnu solraanga!'.Read More

Man! You have a way of absolutely crying out when you pan a movie.. I loathed the movie just as much as prev rajini flicks. But never thot it could be good so that I was not going amuck after I saw the movie. As a secret, I would say this to you, I kinda feel that many rajini flicks do have B-fl...ick's looks. like the Mithun flicks on the second half of his career. And am damn serious rather than being sarcastic. Every scene is just a setup and no character care about themselves but how rajini is goin to solve some issue/problem or save good from bad. why?Read More

It is so simple to remain happy, but so difficult to remain simple from Bawarchi, rather than Anand?

... to see 1857: The Rising being expected heck a lot for the prime reason of Aamir Khan, rather than its director Ketan Mehta. And to my shock, this review points him as the minus point of the movie (and his direction is a CON), and seems that Aamir needs to give his 'punch' to save the movie. Th...ough, I agree the movie's commercial success largely/solely depends on Aamir. And dude, I too compared Lagaan with Swades and found that Aamir had nothing, except as an actor/producer, to do with the greatness of Lagaan! I saw Ashutosh written all over it! Cheers!Read More

... has been there in my must-buy list for sometime now, after listening to the soundtrack of the movie 'Hazaaron Khwahishen Aisi'? Very good! I ve heard only the 'Piyu bole' song of Parineeta shown on television and loved it!

But according to me what he meant was quite right but the way he conveyed is not so good. .. thts what i meant by True in words. But could have been handled better.

Saw the movie quite sometime ago and liked it! Though, found some parts pretty judgemental. some moments are like those Dravidian movies down-south. 'First be a good Indian' from the Ghati Inspector. True in words. But could have been handled better. Madhur is a RGV-bred director, if u dint kno...w. Congrats on being in The Hindu Metro Plus!Read More

this is not singampuli's debut.. he made the cult classic of 21st century, that is, 'Red'!! ;) liked the comic parts in first half (despite jyothika's childish attempt).. second half dragged..

i would first like to clarify that i am neither a fan of SRK or Aamir. But somehow I kinda like both of them. SRK for his plain outspoken candour and Aamir for.. ahem.. his acting! I dont feel SRK is versatile. Even in Swades, in which I liked his performance, he could not do away with his tears-i...n-the-eyes look... Aamir is comparatively versatile. but still many a times sticks to his charmy and pranky boy image. But his intense performance in some movies are not matched by SRK (my view!) But Aamir is very very over-rated nevertheless. Much of the credit to Lagaan must actually goto Ashutosh (after seeing Swades nobody should doubt that). The all-too-perfect image of Aamir requires a reality check. As I put elsewhere (why am I had to comment on Aamir so many times!), Aamir's fourth last film was Mela and he tried to make that movie perfect too. His choosy attitude, sense for good scripts all go for a sixer with one word and that is 'Mela' which he acted not too long ago!Read More

this one was hilarious! man! dont get into my domain of a revu on/homage to/tribute to this year's cult classic thirupachi! ur deliberate obscure talk* (above comment of urs is a testimony) rocks, as always! *though parody overtakes 'abstract tangentialism' (nice word!) this time!

Thanks man! i too definitely enjoyed thirupachi.. and want to write a revu on it dubbing it as the 'Indian Kill Bill'.. The director was almost at it... It was daringly unique... pity nobody found it so... think of a man who kill 21 ppl within an hour without a bit of remorse (he is a natural bo...rn killer man!) and tells his amma that this job is more satisfying than any other job...' The character definition is worth a Taxi Driver! whaddya say?? ;))Read More
