Reviewed Pureit Water Purifier

Jul 08, 2007 06:00 PM 3383 Views

I purchased a unit of Pureit in May 2007. When we ordered the unit, it was delivered in 2 hours! The tap broke on 18th July 2007. I have made many calls to their service number. Every time they give a reply that it will be set right by 6.00 P.M. next day. So far no one has turned up( as of...Read more

Perhaps your friend drives it faster than the recommended speed of 45 km/h. It comfortably gives me 45 kmpl. Or maybe your friend is driving it at sub-25 speeds..

Good review there. Some points I would like to make... 1. Bicycle riders are the least respected on any road. There are good chances that you are going to be knocked down by any vehicle - scooter and lorry alike 2. No horn and indicator... That's a serious problem, isn't it? You have to gi...ve hand signals, which is rather useless during dark times (like night). And your bicycle's bell will not be audible inside a car. 3. No headlight. During the dark hours of the day, you run the risk of colliding with a tree or running over a man-hole 4. Pathetic brakes. Can you stop when you want to? Cycle brakes are really poor. 5. If you're caught in traffic, you've had it. There will be endless honking from behind as you cannot clear the road in time. My Advice: 1. Use the bicycle during bright and low-traffic hours of the day. 2. Use the bicycle as a means of exercise or recreation only and not as a means of transport. Do you prefer losing Rs. 50/- on petrol over risking your life?Read More

Dear Mr. Venurajagopal, Your review is excellent. However, I would like to mention a few problems with getting an assembled computer 1. No one can duplicate a computer component. However, the person who gives you the assembled part often gives you components that have defects in them or certai...n pieces that did not pass the quality testing manufacturer's standard. A small example I bought a Sony Cd-Writer which didn't have any manufacturer's name on it (It was purchased from an outside person and not OEM, )!!! 2. The persons who do assemble computer do not offer good service (no exceptions to this statement). They do not replace faulty components, do not service well. A small example: The capacitors on the motherboard of my old system burst. I was forced to replace the entire motherboard at a cost of Rs. 4500/-. On my new HCL system, when the same problem occured, the HCL service persons replaced it at a price of less than 1000/-. So you buy a cheaper assembled computer, make up the cost in terms of service itself. Also, at times, the service person doesn't even know how to eject the processor and plays all sorts of games with it. 3. If you buy an assembled computer, you run the risk of getting second hand parts. For instance, there is absolutely no way of finding out if a RAM chip or CD-Rom is a second hand piece. The person who assembles may simply put a 'Jan - 2006' label on the piece. From the above points, I conclude that buying an assembled computer is quite risky.. Thank you for the excellent review !!Read More

I am quite surprised at those saying that kinetic doesn't manufacture long lasting products. My dad's been owning a Kinetic Honda for 18 years. And my dear friends, Kinetic charged me Rs. 50/- for the first service of my Nova 135. My friend's Dio's first service bill ran upto Rs. 800/- and all t...hey did was waterwash the bike. In fact, none of his complaints on the Dio had even been rectified !!! And of course, the Nova 135 WILL vibrate around 20 km/hr as the clutch releases quite quickly for the sake of power. Try accelerating a 'smooth' dio and you will find it SLOGS upto 20 km/hr because of a slow and smooth clutch release (means less power) I have compared several un-noticed points about both bikes. Take a look at my review http://www.mouthshut.com/review/Kinetic_Nova_135-77020-1.htmlRead More

Something odd Joydeep. Actually, my headlight, which I have had since I bought the vehicle is excellent. Yes.. engine idling is a problem.. but I strongly recommend warming up the engine - simply give the accelerator a little raise and hold it for 2 minutes atleast, with the vehicle in stand. Do ...this every morning. That solves the vibration and engine going off problems (please do it for atleast 4-5 days before you come to any conclusion). The pickup of the vehicle is excellent.. however, the pickup simply disappears when you set the recommended air pressure 21/30.. I use 30-38 and the pickup is great!!!Read More

Good review and good comparison of both vehicles. Regarding seating comfort, I find the Nova much, much better since I am way taller than 6 feet and cannot even sit on an Activa/Dio.

Hi guys.. there is knocking in my AAHO as well... To really notice the knocking (which comes immediately when you move it from rest), raise the accelerator very gently instead of one quick turn. You will notice that the entire vehicle vibrates for a short while..
