I read this book last year as a part of a reading assignment. I dont usually read autobiographies, but this one is different.
So, as most who've heard about this would know, Helen was blind from a small age. The book takes us through the journey of her life, the various ups and downs that she faced, and the problems that she had to come across even while doing things that would be very easy for 'normal' individuals.
However, she managed to do everything that a human being would do, attend school, go to a university, be a polyglot, and much more.
Even though the reader is usually very different from Helen, many instances feel extremely relatable. By the end of the book, you feel a certain kind of energy and motivation flowing through you. The sense of having the ability to bring change in the lives of others is also very empowering
I would certainly recommend this to all fiction and non-fiction readers.
