I had a very good perception about Snapdeal until I bought something(Thanks to their marketing campaign) from them for the first time.


On 6Oct I ordered "FabLinen Purple Floral Cotton Double Bed Sheet" by paying Rs. 699 through my debit card. It was one of the Diwala Dhamaka offers which stated that that product was being sold at 50% discount on MRP.


On 7Oct the product was shipped and on 11Oct it reached me.NOW comes the twist. I unwrapped the product and found out that it was a very low quality bedsheet, not cotton off-course. as was mentioned in the product description. I immediately checked its MRP and was shocked the MRP to be R. 600. My trust on snapdeal shattered. after seeing this.


Now see yourself how Snapdeal mints money by selling products at a price higher than MRP., shamelessly brag about the 50% discount. and market it even more shamelessly as a Diwali Dhamaka offer.


In simple words a product whose MRP was Rs.600 was sold at a price of 699. while claiming that they were selling it at 50% discount. Heights of Fraud and deception by Snapdeal. Never ever gonna buy anything from them in future. nor will  I recommend it to anyone.


If I drag them to consumer forum they'll surely have to pay heavily for it. x(


Beware of Snapdeal guys. don't fall prey to its heavy marketing a big ads.


P.S- I had immediately raised a complaint to get refund via ticket number- 10207110 on 11 oct, They promised me that the product will be picked up within 2 days. Till 17Oct nothing happened.


On 17Oct I sent them a reminder email. they again said that the product will be picked within 2 days. Today is 20Oct and 9 days have passed since I raised the complaint. Feeling hopeless with this Frauddeal.com.
