Scion of Ikshvaku - Fatherly treatment

Story:

Let's face it.  All the good guys are not good - Sages Vashista and Vishwamitra have their grand plans to save the world.  Seeta so demure in other histories is an ace warrior, philosopher, well balanced and also has a secret plan to save her husband from the world.

To those used to hearing the Ramayana in more traditional terms, this book is mildly surprising somewhat like Shakespeare's Omkara with its MCs and BCs.  The charecters, most of them, are well defined and speak their minds.

The good thing about the first in the series is that it lays down the expectations as it did in the Shiva series - your interest diminishes after the first one.  Like both of Amish's Shiva and Rama do not know how great they are till the people around constantly keep reminding them of that - isnt it how Indian politicians fall into delusions of grandeur?
