Am not saying they are bad or do not deal with customers well, but maybe because they have a huge demand for product they simply stopped accepting emails, and phones(do not return call) of customers.
This happened twice to me in last 6 months. Generally, You enquire any product, the customer service keeps bothering you to buy, or to explain you the product, and put some or other kind of mild, soft pressure and persuade you to buy the respective product. This is irrespective of cars, various bikes etc. But one exception is to our Royal Enfield enquiries.
During the last 6 months, I did two enquires, my second enquire being as recent as 2 days back and with failed attempt to visit one of their showroom in Hyderabad(do not want to name it though)
Firstly when you call their showroom number, you would get voice options and no one picks phone. Then you would get an SMS saying the agent would come back. I sent email and phoned them to check upon Meteor bike. You would be surprised that I got a response almost after 5 months.
After trying initially I lost interest and given up idea. Then after 5 months, I got an email checking upon their enquiry. I do understand that there is huge demand and waiting period for this bike(which by the way as per experts is not that great product) not sure why so much huge demand and waiting period is is natural or company is deploying sales tactics. Now those of you, who are huge fans might take it wrong, but this is fact.
I made up my mind to buy another 350 bike(wait for my review on it in a separate thread) but as a backup plan, I wanted to visit Royal Enfield showroom and check meteor myself. To my surprise there was no one to talk, greet there. As I was searching, looking here and there one agent unwillingly walks towards me. I enquired about bike and he simply said waiting is 2-3 months if you are interested or not, instead of explaining about bike. He was sure if he tells me that point I would walk away and that is what I did.
It might be good product(there are lots of reviews on Meteor bike in internet), but Royal Enfield dealerships are not responding to customer quires properly. Once around 2010 there were only 2 showrooms in Hyderabad, now there are many. Their sales number has grown exponentially over the years, but customer service, customer response(that too to potential buyers) have come down drastically.
