Nanking is one of the oldest Chinese restaurants in Hyderabad?looking at the waiters you would not doubt it! :p I love Chinese food. Every place I go, I first check out the good Chinese restaurants.
My experience with Nanking in terms of food has been quite good. Getting a table especially on weekends at night is a pain! But most people are willing to wait as the food is worth it. Spacing is a bit cramped. You can literally reach out and eat from the next table! The problem is the design. The place cannot be expanded, I guess, to accommodate more guests. The service can be a bit slow, especially on weekends. Lunch time service is relatively faster.
The ambience is ok. Decor is pretty Spartan and mainly functional. Mostly families come here. I usually do not eat there. I call and have the food packed, which I pick up later! I don?t like waiting! :D
The food is quite good. It has its own distinct style that sets it apart. I strongly recommend trying the Chicken Drumsticks, Nanking Special Chicken and Lemon Chicken. (Sorry! As I?m a Non-veggie, I can?t comment on the good veg items there!)
A meal for two can cost around Rs 250.
