A Clever, Funny and Entertaining Movie

I must tell you that I was a bit surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie. There was a sneak at our local theatre, so I decided to go with my Sandra Bullock obsessed friend to the movie.

The movie itself was clever and witty. The script was excellent and there were many laugh-out-loud moments. Any movie that can keep me smiling and anticipating the next move deserves some credit. Yes, there were a few times when the plot sequence was obvious, but it didn't distract me from enjoying the movie.

Both Sandra Bullock and Benjamin Bratt were excellent. This wouldn't have been as good without Bullock in the lead role. She pulled of the ''from brains to beauty'' role perfectly...without losing the character's personality flaws. She delivers all of the funniest lines in the movie.

Bratt's acting was just as good as Bullock's ''will he or won't he'' romantic antagonist. I look forward to seeing him in larger roles.

Miss Congeniality is just one of those fun, entertaining movies that will allow you to walk out of the theatre happy. There's no special effects, no big plot suspense, no European terrorists. However, there are good laughs to be had, good character acting to enjoy, and good eye candy for Bullock and Bratt fans.
