I wanted to buy a cheap camera just to get comfy with the thing, and thats when I approached a shop showcasing a lot of Kodak cameras. I bought the KB 12 plus just on two counts:

  1. Sleek silver design, 2. Self Timer and stand.

The camera is pretty easy to use, and the manual loading system means that every roll gets me 40 snaps without fail. There is no way to turn the flash off, so you cant ever have dark snaps.

On the flip side, I had hoped to be part of my own snaps courtesy the timer and the stand. Unfortunately, the timer malfunctioned after the first 5 snaps! the timer works, but it doesnt click the image. As a result, even the Stand is of no use.

So, in case you are buying this solely for the timer, DONT!

A Samsung/Canon would be better. In case you want a cheap camera for starters, better go for a KB 10 or some such thing just to get comfy with it instead of paying 200-300 extra for a timer and stand that you wont be able to use for long.
