This is the one of my latest experience with Kaalinte Eda Kallada travels.I booked one ticket from Chennai to Chengannur on 7 November 2014( Later I asked myself several times.WHY?). I took the bus that will take off from Koyambedu at 8.15 PM.
After taking my dinner, I reached their office at 8 PM. There I was informed that my bus is 2 hours late, it will start only at 10 30. I was shocked to hear this. One guy told me that he tried in my cell phone to inform this but it was switched off, which was true. I thought, its 2 hours, since I am stayin at Thirumangalam, near to koyambedu, I decided to leave room and reach again by 10.15. I reached back to kalada office sharp at 10 30. I found lot of other passengers impatiently waiting for their bus since last three hours. Later when it reached 10 30 and 10 45, as there is no sign of bus, other two three passengers asked the office staff about this.
They replied as the bus is detected from snag, another bus is coming to do the trip, and that was quiet EMBARRASSING to hear when one guy asked, from where the bus is coming, staff replied "its from KOTTAYAM". WTF.?.Bus which reached morning kottayam is coming back again to schedule same day evening service from Chennai. I asked the staff about hiring some other bus and about spare bus. Staff replied very negligently that since it is Friday, they cant find any bus to hire and interestingly renowned Kallada travels aint got any spare bus to provide backup. Then I suddenly remembered a similar experience with SRM Travels, where one of the bus caught with some trouble, SRM staff asked us to wait for 1 hour, soon after 1hour another VOLVO bus came from bangalore.
As there was non AC SRM buses was waiting, they promised customer word by providing VOLVO itself. Now come back to Kallada, after 11.30, the mob turned violent as still no sign of bus. And the Kallada staff behaved so negligently and light, son of bitches dont know how to behave itself. They seems to hold the post of Airline Pilots, idiot douchebags!
After long wait for 4 hours, bus came at 12 AM and I reached Thiruvalla at 1.30 PM. Another misfortune was waiting for me at Thiruvalla. Driver asked me and some Chengannur lads to get down at Thiruvalla and they had hired one taxi to drop us at Chengannur. In a nutshell, "FELCHERSSSSSSSS"
So what I understood from this experience is
If you are from Central Travancore and got any plans or commitments next day?, then PLEASE DONT USE KALLADA. Instead I suggest you SRM Travels and Indian Railways
Be come prepared for a long wait at office.
When you book tickets in Kallada, book the place after your place, because there is a chance that they will drop you at one stop before your stop.
Try only Kallada if you got no option left.
