I am one of customer of ICICI BANK LTD. I had a salary account with the bank in 2006-2007. I left the company in 2007. The bank did not close my account. They convert this to individual account. Now what happens I had unfortunately the chequ book lying of the account number (My friend has to transfer Rs 5000 to my account. I gave this account number to him unfortunately. He transfered the money to account number. Then I found that this money is transferred to wrong account.
I approached the bank they said we will deduct the Rs 800 from you as a penalty because you are not operating this account. Sir ICICI BANK did not contact me since 2007 till 28th May 2014 that I am not operating this account. ICICI BANK did not sent me any communication to my address since 2007 till May 2014. Where my address is the same.
Now interestingly they say you have to give an application to operate the account as it is not in operation. Sir I want to know when the account is not in operation how come Rs 5000 credited in this account. This is the way this bank cheat customers. I request you kindly take action and refund me my full amount. Think of a case if by mistake this has happened and make some rule that it should not happen to any other customer again.
