I was on a Tikona connection before I was lured to Hathway's 50Mbps plans. I have no idea why there are so many bad reviews about this connection, and better reviews for Tikona which has frequent drops. Anyway as always I prefer keeping my review very brief and to the point. So, here are some things I observed about Hathway.
Internet speed in Mira Road, Mumbai is WOW! I do get 50mbps. I have downloaded a 1GB file in about 8 minutes(was an Apple update) just as advertised. I have had days where the speed has dropped to 30mbps. Still quite fast.
I haven't encountered a connection drop, not once. Very stable connection.
Affordable at Rs. 2400+ taxes for 3 months.
I haven't yet felt the need to call customer care so don't know how good or bad are the support guys.
One thing I dislike about Hathway, one area they need to improve is on invoices. Hathway never sends an invoice. They only sent an SMS notifying that the subscription expiry is due. The SMS does not contain the amount due as well.
But overall, a great service, very stable connection.
