Sing if you care to!. Review on Five English Songs I Would Sing for my Beloved

If you are expecting Bryan Adams, Tom Jones or Michael Bolton, this review is going to be a disappointment. It is just that they figure in all the lists and quit frankly I am sick of listening to their songs.

The following are the songs I would sing for my beloved:

*1. Save tonight by Eagle Eye Cherry*

I think this is a wonderful romantic number. A bit sad, since it's about a'good bye' yet it still rocks. A very sexy song that speaks of'desire' and'separation'.

*2. Loving you is easy cuz you are beautiful/ Loving you is more than just a dream come true by Minnie Riperto.*

It's a beautiful song but really hard to sing. As the singer sings one can hear birds chirping in the background and the whole song is infused with the feeling of  'springtime'.

Stay with me while we grow old

And we will live each day in springtime

*3. I just wanna make love to you- Etta James/ The Foghat*

It's a very simple song which as the title suggests is about love. The singer in this song tells his beloved that he doesn't need her to be his slave or do all his cooking, washing clothes and what not. He only wants her and her loving. Nice oldie!

*4. sweetest thing by U2*

I am a huge fan of Bono so this song had to be here. The song written for his wife also boasts of a great video.

*5. Smooth by Santana*

Who does not like this song? One can dance on this number too. I love the following lines in particular:

And it's just like the ocean under the moon

You got the kind of lovin' that can be so smooth,

There are many other songs I like, there are way too many.like **Last kiss- Pearl Jam, I wanna come over-Mellisa Etheridge, Love Burns- BRMC, ** but these would have been too unconventional so. I suppose these would do for now.:o)
