This dungeon or prison was build by Tipu sultan to keep his British prisoners as captives. This is the place where british captain Bailey died hence the name changed. The place is creepy yet clean and restored and maintained well.
The places will take one to the era where prisoners were kept in water till waist line. Once can see the shoulder height slabs where prisoners were chained to them. I saw a cannon as well in the dungeon which people say fell off the terrace during the war with Britishers. Lot of hotels are available in Mysore.
