The first of its kind in social engineering

Brave new world is one of the must read classics of science fiction. This book is probably the first of its kind. The title here refers to the author as Mark Twain. It was actually written by Aldous Huxley.

What is the pursuit of all life? Most of us believe that we want to be happy. Aldous huxley takes this to the extreme where a massive society is organized and driven only by the pursuit of happiness. Then , he juxtaposes the situation to what we have currently in our world. Torn by love, happiness, greed ... and GRIEF.

The concept is interesting and the story takes the reader very vividly through a world of the future and its myraid things and details. This book is a very good example of how a science fiction set in future can still be about something relevant and something very philosophical.

This book is not a pulp fiction. As I have said, it is a classic. Atleast when I read it, I was'nt feeling like I was reading ''Blood music'' by Greg bear (I finished that book in one sitting. it was that interesting. And then I havent thought about the book since either.. I feel it is more of pulp fiction). What I mean to say is that the book did not have nailed to one place while I was reading it. However, it is an interesting concept well executed and well worth reading. But the best part is that it leaves you with something you can mull about for a long time.

Bottom line I would say is that this is a very good book, worth reading and needs wee bit more patience than while reading a pulp fiction book to get through it.
