Till 90s Allhabad University was known as the Mines of IAS officers. This is the university from where Shri Murali Manohar Joshi is a faculty and Ex prime minister Shri Chndrashekhar happened to be a student. A university where aspirants rush from north east of Uttar Pradesh to make their dream true to get selected in administrative services of India. As a matter of fact, neither those devotee students nor the committed faculty exist as it was in seventies & eighties.
Politics & involvement of students made the things worst. New comers hardly get a hostel as seniors continue to capture a room as long as possible. Glory & esteem of Allahabad University is possible to attain again if an overhaul of faculty & administration is done.
