Rehman?s Ten Best Songs
If almost all songs are favorites it?s difficult to choose the very best or most favorites. I have tried to explore Rehman?s songs which are very good and remain with a lesser attention by the most of people. Let?s see how many after reading this review go and get these songs and then comment on this review.
1.?Mil Hi Gae? from the movie KABHI NA KABHI sung by Alka & Kumar Sanu. I think this was the first and last time Rehman works with Kumar Sanu. But the work done is excellent. It?s a master piece why it is not so popular I could not understand from the very start I like this particular song and the song is having such melody that it comes from a heart and strikes the other?s heart straight away.(Year?1997)
2.?Nazroon Kay Milnae Say? from the movie?Vishwvidhata? Classical piece of softness and humbleness in the tune and the soothing music to accompany with makes this song to rule the hearts of people for end life. I know many of people have not listened the song but I assure you that it is one of the best songs of my life it is really a sweetest melody ever created plus very good lyrics by Mehboob.(Year?1997)
3.?Tararum pum Tararumpum? from the movie DOLI SAJAKE RAKHNA sung by Babul. The is truly very good and and the orchestration makes the song joyful and unforgettable. Above all the picturization in the movie is great. The song is different and very techno trans music in it. Rehman?s arrangements for this song are commendable.(Year?1998)
4.?Nahin Samne Tu? from TAAL sung by Hariharan. The slow number and it is also one of the best works of Rehman. The ingredients for a slow track are followed and the ting of experimentation produced this song. It?s really very well composed song.(Year?1999)
5.?Khamosh Raat? from the movie THAKSHAK sung by Roop Kumar Rathod. When ever I write any review about Rehman I always include this song. A song for your natural mood and it is so beautiful and extraordinary that I just love this song. The use of guitar is superb and a memorable song.(Year-2000)
6.?Kho Gae Hain Sau Gae hain Dil ke Afsanay? from the movie ZUBEIDAA and sung by none other that Lata gi. The song is touching and the treatment it got, takes you to the heavens. The song has chorus in such a manner that they actually tend you toward the reality of Life & Death. 4 years after this song is on-air today I do like the song. Although the song is in sad mood but it is really soulful. It makes you believe that what music can do to your mood. Exclusive.(Year?2001)
7.?Chalo Chalin Mitwa? from the movie NAYAK. Now what I say the flute used in the song is out of the world. Only Rehman has the quality to produce this kind of composition. Udit and Kavita sung the song and they have done an excellent work here. I am sure that you will also like this song. Finally in the movie it was picturized so well that you will stick to it.(Year?2001)
8.?Mitwa? from the movie LAGAAN sung by Alka & Udit. This is the song which makes sure that there is no match for Rehman when it comes to soft and Melodious numbers. The contents of the song are simple amazing again flute work is superb with the alaaps in the middle of the song are excellent. Its really one of the best songs from Rehman.(Year?2001)
9.?Saathiya? from the movie SAATHIYA dung by Sonu Nigam. The lyrics are not impressive but you take the music and you will be stunned. The very good tune for this song and it?s a excellent style with which nothing much remaining for the singer to do when you have tune like this and the grand orchestra inculcate the power of music. Finally Sonu done a well job in singing part and the song became another gem.(Year?2002)
10.?Hum Hain Is pal Yahan? from the movie KISNA. No need to tell about this song but I would say that its one of the best song of Rehman featuring with some excellent orchestra work and singers. From this song Rehman reminds people that he is still here and he is the legend.(Year?2004-05)
There is still a long list but it is impossible to put that list here. I notify here that the Themes like BOMBAY Theme from BOMBAY, O! HUMDUM SUNIYO RE from SAATHIYA & KISNA Themes from KISNA are not included but they are master pieces.
