I had travelled all the way from Toronto to New Delhi on the morning of January 20, 2015. When I went to get the boarding pass for New Delhi-Jammu flight I was told that the flight has been cancelled and we can put you on another flight. I did not receive any communication about this cancellation.
They had my email address and phone number. Anyways, this is how Spicejet works Ah. The flight on which we were put was announced late by 30 minutes. We were transported in Spicejet buses to the aircraft and it was announced again late by 30 minutes the moment we were seated. We were huddled in the plane for more than 2 hrs without any food or refreshments.
Even water was not available in sufficient quantity. At last when I could not control myself due to health issues-Diabetes, heart disease I asked one of the crew members" Are you going to check our patience, why don't you tell us what is wrong with the flight" You know what was his answer: We can disembark you and call security to discipline you. I was already so upset with waiting and my blood sugar level has gone so low that I was about to collapse with this behaviour.
Instead of offering any medical or other help they threatned me by cheking my tickets and passports etc. Luckily a fellow couple who was travelling from Australia offered me some water and snacks and that saved me otherwise anything could have happened.
