This book by Jhumpa Lahiri, a collection of short stories, and winner of the highly coveted Pullitzer Prize, though not THE best works by an Indian author, sure ranks among the finest.
It reaches deep
into the psyche of the Indians and their Indianness. Their strong roots with their distinctive culture and their joys and sorrows.
I have read the book and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I would recommend it as a must read.
I look forward to more short stories by this talented writer.
