My experience with UR Trip Advisor and their representative Mr. Arun(Contact: 812925xxxx) was nothing short of a nightmare. I booked an Andaman and Nicobar Islands package for December 22-27 for ₹21, 100. Unfortunately, I missed my flight on December 22 and contacted Arun to request a refund. Initially, he assured me that only the costs for Ross and North Bay boat tickets and the light and sound show tickets would be deducted, and the remaining amount would be refunded. I even have a recording of this conversation. However, Arun later went back on his word and denied issuing any refund. Determined not to let my holiday go to waste, I rescheduled my flight for December 24 and requested a refund for the activities we missed. Once again, Arun refused and instead offered to arrange cab services for the remaining days.


When we landed in Port Blair, the troubles only worsened. The promised driver did not show up, forcing me to hire a private cab to reach our hotel. Arun then directed me to a local taxi operator named Madhav, who initially ignored over 50 of my calls before finally answering. The first day of sightseeing went relatively smoothly, but on December 25, our Ross and North Bay Island trip turned chaotic. Tickets were only arranged after repeated calls and much insistence with Arun’s team members, Bilal and Thomson. Following the island visit, we were scheduled to visit Chidiya Tapu, but Madhav’s driver refused to take us, citing unavailability. My family and I were left waiting on the road until, after relentless calls, a driver was arranged late in the evening.


The nightmare escalated on December 26 during our Baratang trip. Madhav claimed he hadn’t received any payment from Arun and refused to provide a taxi. He also connected me with another traveller who shared a similar experience of being duped by Arun. Left with no choice, I had to pay additional amounts out of pocket, including ₹2, 700 for alternate arrangements to visit just two locations. To make matters worse, Arun stopped taking my calls altogether, and his team was unhelpful, with one member, Thomson, unable to communicate in Hindi or English, making the situation even more frustrating.


This entire ordeal was deeply distressing. Arun’s unprofessional and fraudulent behaviour not only caused significant financial loss but also ruined what should have been a relaxing family holiday. Such practices tarnish the reputation of tourism in beautiful destinations like the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. I strongly urge future travellers to avoid UR Trip Advisor and Mr Arun at all costs and call for strict action to be taken against this company to protect others from experiencing similar scams.
