Exposing reality of Thrillophilia
I recently travelled to Turkey with a package from Thrillophilia titled "Turkey Escapade: A 6-Day Retreat into Blissful Exploration"(PNR: BKDQHMOHKLI). Despite reading mixed reviews before booking, I decided to proceed after being assured by their staff that past issues had been resolved and services had improved. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory, primarily due to the conduct of their employees, Aditya(Sales) and Devraj(Experience Officer).
Here’s a summary of the issues I faced:
1. Misleading Information: Before making the full payment, the details about hotel locations, accommodation options, room variants, meal preferences, and the itinerary seemed accurate. However, after payment, these details changed drastically. They frequently used the term "similar" for hotels/rooms and cited "availability issues" to alter the promised arrangements. When I requested to revert to the originally promised options, I was asked to pay extra.
2. Poor Communication and Inconvenient Arrangements: After full payment, Thrillophilia's communication dropped significantly. I was moved to a hotel in Istanbul that was far from amenities, with the nearest restaurants and tourist spots over 3 kilometers away. This forced me to take expensive cabs for every meal, which seemed to be a cost-cutting measure by Thrillophilia at my expense.
3. Misleading Tour Structure: The trip was advertised as a group tour with 25-30 people, but I experienced solo travel with different people each day. This misrepresentation resulted in a disjointed experience, contrary to the promised group tour atmosphere.
4. Unresolved Issues: I am still trying to obtain the TCS certificate from them, but have received no response to my inquiries or support ticket.
After spending more than 1 lakh, I received an experience that was far from professional or ethical. I urge you to be cautious and spread the word to prevent others from facing similar issues with this company. I could also attach chat screenshots but that would make this review very lengthy.
