The movie is based on novel 'The kite runner' by khaleid hosseni .The book equally concentrate on issue of taliban , Mujahuddin, civil war & themes such as friendship , love , envy , whereas in movie less importance is given to war.
The direction of Marc Foster is such that all themes displayed in movie are conveyed completely.
Movie is about protaganist Amir, who leaves his friend & servant Hasan & Afghanistan becoz of out break of war. He hides some incident about Hasan & so find himself guilty for that.he get chance to recover his guilt by doing good to Hasan's son Saurabh.
The flying cam shot in movie during kite fight are splendid.The script is in serious tone .The dialogue such as 'thousand times for you' repeats & act as connecting dots. Screenwritter David Benioff has used Loction , characters to proceed in story & avoid narration.
The music in movie adds to feeling of arabic country . The characterisation of young Amir & Amir as man are similar.All actors acted well .The boy who played young Amir role justified his role by potraying Amir as traumatise child. Movie also builts look of Afghanistan during Bhadur shah, mujjahuddin, Taliban in Xanguing, China. Afghanistaan is shown colorfull before.
