Everyone waited for this album for 3 yrs as it was the sucessful combination of ARR and Ashutosh Govarikar who gave us the outstanding music of Lagaan . But Swades some what dissappoints us if u compare it with lagaan. Swades has melody but not the right zing or rhythm ''yeh tara .... is a good song , ahista ...... a silent song is nice but not suited for todays trend , swades title song is same tune and here ARR fails to add some more beats to the track.
Dekho na ..... is a good romantic song which later creates irritation., sawariya ..... is also a sweet song with western and indian tune, pick of the album yu hi chala rahi....is the best track which has foot taping tune and good strings used, over all u are not that satisfyed with the album swades, one does feel ARR has lost his touch of music.
