I bought the H9 about 6 months ago for Rs21000. I use it mainly for when we go to jungles and other nature spots. I do not have much knowledge about photography but as a layman I can heartily recommend this camera for the excellent quality of photos. You can take really close up shots of flowers almost touching the petals. Similarly the 15x zoom gives brilliant results and I have shot good quality pictures(by fluke!) of nilgiri langurs, butterflies, deer, waterfalls etc. I have not yet got around to learning what the various modes are all about, but Im getting there mostly through trial and error. Anyone who can be a little patient to study the manual will get brilliant results. The pictures can be easily corrected with Microsoft picture, for those who are not adept with Photoshop.
I can happily vouch that my money was well spent. My H9 is a constant source of delight, its easy to use, gives excellent quality pictures and I strongly recommend it to all amateurs who want to progress beyond their basic compact digi cams.
