Are rates justified?

Value for Money:

Me and my friend Shrin are regular visitors to PVR, Bangalore. We usually go for night shows on weekends. Whenever a new movie releases we foubd that the ticket rates will be very high for newly released movies. For example when Taare Zameen per(TZP) released, first week the rates were too high at PVR around 500 Rs/Ticket. I know that  the revenue share of Producers will be more in first week of movie release. To balance it multiplexes charge extra money from customers, is this justified? The rates should be same for all the movies irrespective of its release dates. I saw movie Shivaji by paying 300 Rs when its actual price on regular days is 160Rs. I do not know the reason behind this price system. For non Kannada movies they charge tax and all and that is justified but I never heard that for newly released movies tax will be more or so.

Food items are tooooo costly in PVR cinemas. If you are rich then should you pay more than the nominal rates? In Bangalore, single screen theatre staff itself sells tickets in black and these multiplexes cheat customers proffessionally. All in all customers are easy targets to cheat in Bangalore!
