Tasty dough baked to the right crustiness, toppings that would delight the taste buds. That’s how my young nephew described Pizza Hut pizza. Never mind the other pizzas, he added, we already found what I like.
Pizza originated from the pizzeras of Italy but it hit the world like a storm in the late 1960s. Pizza came to the Philippines sometime in the 1970s and no one thought that it would sell because our country has so many snack foods, not to mention the influx of western fastfoods. But then again, pizza was aimed at the upper level of society so it caught fire until the selling price was lowered to afford the masses. Pizza Hut was not the first but certainly it is now the number one pizza in the country especially when the price became competitive.
Pizza Hut has that mouth-watering aroma that makes one feel hungry. The crispy sound of biting into the crunch makes it more delicious to the mouth. Putting hot sauce enhances the mixture of vegetable and meat. Together with a soda, Pizza Hut pizza is non-pareil. And people with taste surely agree that Pizza Hut is one pizza worth buying. What more? You’ve got a choice of toppings. There’s one for meat lovers, vegetarians, also for those with sweet tooth and the rest of choices for the real hungry.
A slice of pizza is like a teaser. The next slice can fill you up a bit. The third slice is satiating enough for the mild eater like me. There goes the fourth for the heavy eater. And what happens to the leftovers? Put it in the fridge and heat in the oven the next day. The taste is still the same, the crispiness remains and your hunger will suddenly pop up. We normally have Pizza Hut delivered to our home for an evening snack so you can guess that we have pizza for breakfast.
For those with queasy stomach, I suggest you shy away from the hot chili sauce, it would make your stomach acidic. But if you can’t avoid the hot sauce, drink a lot of water after an hour of eating pizza to dilute the chili. And don’t drink milk.
Pizza Hut is the best pizza in this part of the world. How about over there?
