Phonepe is a mobile wallet from Flipkart. It came to the Indian market with a lot of promise to draw attention of the public towards online transaction but now it is hurting public sentiments and pinching pockets. I am highly disappointed with this wallet and would not recommend to anyone. The reasons are as follows:
Concept: The concept behind the app is unclear as it uses cashback offers to get users for them. Each of the user will get ₹75 if they invite a friend and they can earn maximum upto ₹375 by invite and earn. Here lies the trickery because the consumers fell in their trap and suffer the consequences as I mention it below
Security: Phonepe doesnot maintains the necessary security standards. Once you login to the wallet it keeps I logged in unless I log out properly while the most of the other mobile wallets log you out once you exit and you have to log in again to access. Once I linked your bank account, it remains linked. If your is misplaced or stolen, your bank accounts are easily accesible to that person. Thus if you want to keep your bank details safe do nit download this app.
Transactions: Transact using phonepe is too much irritating. I have often faced transaction failure the reason described by them happens to be technical issues. Even if my transaction had failed my money had been refunded beyond 24 hours. This means if your transaction would fail for whatever may be the reason your money will be blocked for not less than a day.
Layout: The layout of phonepe is very poor and backdated with blue icons. The text is small and there is no option to change the size of the text. If you have blurr vision you may face difficulty in reading.
Usefullness: The phonepe is not really useful as it has above mentioned issues to solve. Thus I would not recommend to use. The casback offers that phonele offers whill recharging or paying bills it displays a very good sample of trickery as it will promise you to give 50% or 70% cashback as per the offers but it will return you only ₹1. You will find the proof with the photos.
