The mechanical timer is pathetic. Review on Philips Airfryer HD9220

The mechanical timer is pathetic! I was surprised and dissappointed on following counts:

1. The timer is mechanical and continues to tick even when the wall switch is OFF! I would have preferred that the time pauses if I turn off the wall switch for whatever reason. On turning back ON, the timer should resume from where it last left before turning off the switch. THis does not happen!

2. When the unit is ON, if by mistake pull out the hot container, there is no safety trip mechanism. THe unit will continue to spew hot air inside the unit, even when the container is pulled out to see how the items being cooked are faring(you will do this very often, until you got get a hang of the item being cooked).

3. The timer's knob and the graduation around it are misaligned. The unit switches off when the timer's knob is still pointing to 3 or 4 minutes! This is preposterous!

4. Other than the afore mentioned flaws, I am generally content with the oil-less cooking.
