I am an avid online grocery purchaser from Mumbai. I have moved almost all my monthly groceries to **Bigbasket, Local banya & Grofers.*
Today basis **TOI Advt, ** I thought of ordering thru Peppertap.
I did my biggest mistake today by ordering thru your Mobile App.
First of all, based on your 2 hour promise, I ordered my groceries at thinking I will get groceries for my lunch cooking. Order was supposed to be delivered at 12.15. But it got delivered at 1:30.
While making the payment thru app, since I got only two options( COD & wallet), I selected Paytm wallet. I transferred money to my Paytm wallet. However after tranfsering amt when I checked, Peppertap App didnt have any connection to link the grocery bills to paytm wallet.I tried pepper cash also. But didnt have a link to transfer amt to that also. Ultimately after long quarrel, I had to pay the money in cash to the delivery boy. Me along with delivery boy did all R&D to understand how I can pay my bill via peppertap App thru Paytm or Credit card.
Worst part is that there was no bills with the delivery boy. When I asked delivery boy about the purchase bills, most funny thing happened. Answer to my query given was
*" Sir, We dont give bills. That is why we call PAPERTAP ".*
Peppertap's own distributors/delivery boys were upset & cursing about the company processes to me. What worst can this be for a a startup brand like "Peppertap".
Even after taking delivery, I tried doing all the R&D to find how I can make the payment at least thru credit card. Being unfortunate, I tried login to website thru my laptop. I found options to pay bills thru credit card & I was totally surprised!.
The packing was so pathetic that washing power & cleaning liquids were put along with food items & packed together.
*How can company like this go technically wrong in basic things?If option is there in website, then why not in app?
Peppertap neither adhered to their promise of 2 hour delivery nor gave me a satisfactory experience.Mr. Peppertap, you guys need to learn a lot from Bigbaset/localbanya/Grofers.
My first & last purchase with Peppertap.Best of lucks guys.*
