A few days back, I have purchased 4 Sarees from Myantra.com, so called India’s largest on line fashion store. I was delighted with their customer friendly website and prompt services.
My observations before opening of the product package are as under:
•Products were delivered within three days.
•Packaging was very attractive and nice.
•They have offered steep discount on the products.
•Hassle free purchase from the comfort of home.
However, observations after opening of the product package are totally different:
•I have been defrauded. Products were junk and old stock of substandard quality.
•Price of the products was highly inflated. Hence, even 50% discount is a loss for customers.
•Three out of four Sarees have noticeable manufacturing defects. I have been cheated.
•Products are not exactly alike as displayed in their website. Pictures displayed in the website are engineered so that a poor product looks attractive.
•They are acting like a deaf and dumb after the matter is brought to their notice.
After my first and last purchase from Myantra.com, I have following suggestions to new customers
•Stay away from Myantra.com. Visit neighboring brick and mortar stores for purchase.
•If you are too busy or too lazy to visit store, always opt for cash on delivery in dealing with Myantra.com.
•When you receive the package, insist for physical inspection. It is certain that you will be denied such opportunity though it is contrary to your right as a customer or tall claims of Myantra.com.
Once you are certain that products are genuine, handover cash to them.
[Moral of the story: Do not pay a single paisa without physical verification of the products]
